Diagnose: String of Pearls - Shriveled Pearls

1. Firm wrinkles and a dry root mat point to water the roots did not receive
2. Gently feel several pearls from the crown to the vine tip, then lift the pot and check moisture in the middle of the root mat. Firm wrinkles on flexible green stems support dry stress, while soft translucent pearls, dark wet stems, sour-smelling mix, or a heavy damp pot point toward root or crown rot.
