Follow these steps to identify and confirm the problem.
- First check whether any flower scapes formed
- A leafy clump that never produced an upright scape points first to light, crowding, crown depth, or establishment. Cut scape ends, collapsed buds, or distorted unopened buds prove the plant reached a later stage and need a different fix.
