Diagnosis

Diagnose: Daffodil No Blooms

Follow these steps to identify and confirm the problem.

  1. Start with leaf quality and the clump's flowering history
  2. Normal-width green leaves with no flower scapes usually mean the bulbs are alive but lacked the stored energy or conditions to form flowers. Grass-like shoots, yellow streaks, distorted leaves, premature collapse, or a soft bulb move the diagnosis toward pests or disease, while a browned formed bud after a hard freeze explains a one-season loss.
